AUSTIN!

So this last weekend Scott and I decided that it would be a great idea to drive 4 hours to go run, jump, dive, climb, swim and walk 15.2 miles. Good news the next time we were going to go to Austin I wanted Cledus and Daisy to come to enjoy it so this time we packed them up and found a sketchy hotel and had a real family weekend!

This is the even at 7am. Ya just imagine how it looked later, hundreds of people coming and going all day long. 500 people was the max to race for each heat they had a new heat every 30 min. Yep do the math.

He looks excited, that didn't last long.
The race was in a cow pasture and we had to park far enough away we counted it as a warm up:)

This was us RIGHT after the race. Ya it was pretty yucky and pretty awesome. Our bibs were so dirty the whole race that action during race photos didn't really happen.
Not going to lie Daisy was the cutest. She was very animated and happy , even when she got tired she walked to the shallow end and laid down....NEVER wanted to get out of the water!
Yes Cledus has his own ball in his mouth. We went through 5 tennis balls between Daisy chewing them to death and Cledus hoarding them all then losing them in the river.

Is it a gator??? Nope just the cutest little ewok face:)

I'm pretty sure this was the only semi decent picture of us the whole weekend.

New Bathroom!!!

Weekend!
Well it looks like it may have been a few days since I last posted. I guess I am still not good at Blogging. Oh well. When I got back from Oregon life in Texas just went back to normal. School, Cross fit and Work for Scott and I have been running, working, doing inspections on the weekends and am now working towards a promotion at my week job! Can't complain too much except that we live in South East Texas:)
On one of my inspection weekends Cledus and Daisy decided to join me and we stopped at a park between my home and Houston. I had been wanting to visit it and thought this the best chance. It was a nice stretch and cleanish water but not one I will plan a day to visit. Dogs sure did enjoy it tho!!!

Now for this weekend. I woke up to Scott finding Lightening dangling from his toenail from a tunnel bed they had. They loved it but sadly too much and all there digging had shredded part of it, this is the part that Lightening found himself tangled in. He was very scared and had been there a while so I quickly cut his toenail loose. Well then we decided we might as well give them bathes and cut all their toenails (which grow very fast and I do just about every month or so:() While we had the bath running Thunder decided he needed to pee and poo..YUCK. Then Lightening jerked right when I clipped and took a bit too much. Sooo bathes were postponed, they were dirtier then before and Lightening proceeded to bleed for the next hour. Has anyone ever tried bandaging up a ferret??? Teeny hands that are fast like Lightening (no pun intended:)). FINALLY, go the bleeding stopped and Scott so dutifully took the whole cage apart and cleaned it all. Next stop Pet Store where the got a nicer, newer bed that no matter how much they dig it will not shred into dangerous shreds.

Now for the good part of the day. We went to Lowes, and by now our motivation was shot, and walked around trying to remember why we were there and if we bought supplies would we go home and really use them:) Well our original plan of redoing the front yard and putting up shelves in the bathrooms was forgotten. I finally purchased light switch covers (FINALLY have all safety covers on all our lights and plug ins, its amazing the little things!). We purchased a few things here and there and were perusing the fans and light fixtures when there was one reduced price for $14. WHAT? Scott can't freak of the price and I can get something new:) So done and Done. Walla new bathroom. This bathroom cabinet was purchased for my bathroom but after some discussion (on Scotts part) it was decided it would go best in Scott's bathroom. Well once that was in and the toilet holder (take notice of most details please:)) The new light fixture was decided it would look best in there, so now we have a bathroom that actually looks like a regular full functioning bathroom!! AND my husband was waiting and willing to do it ALL today!! ...My bathroom has to wait for another day.
OK I wanted a dramatic effect so I used a picture from before we moved in he he!!!
So No he did not help at ALL...But we he creepily peeked around the corner with those beady red eyes you couldn't help but snap a photo of that cute face:)

"Ya, that just happened!" (Another surprise, the nasty old wallpaper then was just painted over. Yay another thing to somehow fix:().
